Skiing
The Arlberg – The birthplace of modern alpine skiing. Enter Austria’s largest inter-connected ski resort from the Hotel door. Ski Arlberg offers you 305 kilometres of ski slopes, 200 kilometres of powder snow runs and 88 modern lifts and cable cars that bring you comfortably up the mountain. You can ski directly from the Hotel Hubertus and start a great days skiing from the Schlosskopf lift. Lech doesn’t only offer winter sports activities. Plan your refreshment stop in one of the numerous ski huts on the slopes. A large filling portion of “käsespätzle” or a fluffy, sweet “Kaiserschmarrn” give you strength for the rest of the day.
For those who would like to learn the art of or improve their skiing, there are various ski schools in and around Lech. When discovering Lech on foot, make use of the Sonnenabo. With this lift ticket you can use the lifts without skis and make use of the winter walking paths high above the valley.

The Arlberg is paradise for freeriders and ski touring. In the middle of winter you are spoilt with cool slopes covered in powder snow. In spring Firn snow is on the programme. Discover a world away from the prepared slopes, we recommend skiing with a local guide.
The experienced guides show you not only the best slopes, but also provide advice on the dangers. Foresight is better than hindsight. Only ski off-piste with the required experience and/or a local guide, along with the correct equipment consisting of an avalanche rucksack with an avalanche transceiver and first-aid kit. Then nothing stands in the way of off-piste adventure.
